NLP Certification
Many providers offer programs to 'certify' you as an NLP Practitioner or Trainer. These 'certifications are from the provider themselves or an association and should not be confused with any sort of US Government or State Certification. Currently there isn't any state or federal regulation of NLP training.
There are NLP associations. These associations as other industries are businesses designed to offer their clientele benefits. Associations are usually 'For profit businessess' and charge dues to their membership. You, like me can appreciate an associations eho has enrollment requirements for their members.

Some NLP trainers have other certifications. For example they may be a Certified Hypnotist and be a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. They have a unique position to teach NLP. However, not all hypnotists know Neuro Linguistic Programming.
Learning from a provider who is knowledgeable in NLP is important and learning from a provider who exudes charisma and energy even more. Knowing a joke and having a sense of humor illustrates the contrast. It may be more advantageous to learn from the teacher who's successful with the delivery.
